Biographical NoteMichael Caputo was born in New York, USA, and is currently renovating an 1860s townhouse in Jersey City, NJ with his wife and son. He stud Advertising and Graphic Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and became a designer of children’s novelty books, first for HarperCollins and then at Penguin, where he designed prize-winning pop-up books. Michael is currently a Design Manager at an international publishing company in NYC. He was introduced to quilting by his mother, and has taught quilting at the Institute in Finchley, at Ray Stitch in London, UK, and at shops and exhibitions in the States. When he is not working on his house project he is designing and making quilts for magazines, fabric manufacturers, friends, and family.
